I lived with back pain most my life. I had scoliosis in my early teens that was corrected through at least weekly chiropractor visits over two years. So I have always considered going to a chiropractor a part of my life. Back health has always been an issue, whether it was a result of playing competitive sports, running or just the stresses of life. I have relied on a combination of chiropractor, massage therapist and acupuncture to reduce the pain, but it never really went away completely. When adjusted by a chiropractor the pain would be reduced for a few days, eventually returning. Massage therapy or the combination of both would make the affects last a little longer.
It wasn’t until I was introduced to floating recently that I ever realized a long-term change in the pain. After my first visit, I noticed that the pain had been significantly reduced. The real change came a few days later when the pain hadn’t returned fully. After my next 3 visits, the pain was gone completely and didn’t return for an entire week. Once it did return it was to a lesser degree. Now after a solid month of regular visits I have gone a full week between visits with have had absolutely no pain. Something I haven’t experienced in a very long time. It has also had a huge impact on other things too…my focus, my mindfulness, and my mood.
